End of glory ; 5:39 PM

Once upon a time and end of glory

When I was secondary one, I remember seeing our NCC ex senior performing 24 festive drums and their final post was holding up a banner writing “Join NCC” and I thought the drum team name are call NCC. So when filling up the CCA form I wrote NCC as my first CCA.

Until the day when NCC is holding a meeting for the newly secondary one students and the teacher, Mr Chia, said “we are going to NCC HQ to take your uniform today”, so I thinking “wa, even this kind of drum team also have HQ ah?”. Once we reach there then I saw a lot of soldiers down there and I felt so weird thinking why we were there.

Then I start collecting my uniform (soldier uniform) so I asked “Mr Chia, I thought we are suppose to collect drum costume? Why I we collecting soldier uniform?” Now then I know that NCC is national cadet core, not the name for the drum and I get kind of regret joining NCC.

But throughout the years in NCC, I learn a lot of things in life that is unable to learn in books and NCC is a place where I really found my strength and natural talents that contain in me as well as my friends. I can say that in NCC I had strive all the glories and power I want without fail but still it the process of hard ship we went together that gave the best memories. It even turns me from a nobody to somebody and I kinda happy about it.

After I got my RSM post, things change because I lost the passion as my NCC friends had leave (my batch) and I felt kind of boring, so whenever I gone to NCC training I really go there and sleep and as time goes by I didn’t even bother to go but slowly I got close with Eugene batch of friends and they gave me lots of fun and I felt very heart warming getting together with them and they brought me back to NCC naturally. So, I’m back to NCC with my passion again, working together with them and knowing more about the junior is simply fun!

It time to step down, stepping down from this strongest NCC Company ever, stepping down as the first in whole nation, in Singapore. I was standing under the warm and shinny sun, wit the golden sun ray shinning upon me. It not just my body feeling the kind of special warm but it warm my heart as well. I saw a vision of me, seeing that I can be somebody in this world, not just in school but everywhere I go, and this feeling is simply too strong. I going off from the strongest NCC Company, I going off from this 24 festive drum team I lead before, but I will be taking the best memories I strive hard before as well as the best friends I know.

Time to close my secondary skies of glory and going to new stage of life and I will and must open another skies of glory again that will influence hundred or even thousand of people (I hope). Good bye Fuhua Secondary School NCC and 24 festive drum team. I love you guys.

Tips for the day= If you ever step down from a role or post from the most strongest company ever. Never turn back, as this is the wise choice of action that will leave the deepest impression of you in others.
