Uniform

Secondary school students especially dislike wearing school uniform because it not fashionable, so they can’t wait to go poly to students and to wear anything they like.

Recently, I’m inspired about how uniform can actually do to someone. I have been sleeping lately this few weeks to watch Hong Kong drama talking about a bunch of student police in their training. This really bring back my precious memory in NCC

Ever since, I took over the NCC Company as an Assistant Sergeant Major, whenever I wore the uniform, I was kind of possess with some big power that make me feel a very big responsibility towards my NCC Company. I’m totally change to another person, not a Yee Cheng who always sleep in class, but a freaking fierce monster that train junior and handle management stuff like mad, totally involve.

Whenever it come to Sunday, I have to go for my religion youth group to give tuition and lesson presentation to those students there and I wear my youth group polo shirt, it another kind of energy that empower me again and turn out to be very holy towards my kids there, it another kind of responsibility again.

The question is why there is this kind of energy that empowers me in so many different ways, does it come from uniform itself? A very interesting topic for today

Uniform give us a belonging for what and who we are serving to and everyone of us need to feel a belonging in somewhere they go to. It the power of symbol, the symbolic power we call it.

Logo, brand, uniform, name, guild, all this are symbol that give us a belonging, responsibility, status thus feeling safe.

Today, I’m talking about how uniform can actually touches our life. Respect is a very important factor, I remember during NCC training, first thing first I will check if they iron their uniform and do they wear it neat and tidy. Just like when we go to the airport, seeing those pilots wearing their uniform preparing to operate the air plane, WOW! Freaking handsome yeah?

Tips for the day= It only when we start to appreciate our jobs, role and responsibility for whatever we are handling, then you will find a belonging there thus being proud of wearing your uniform and shine out there in the world.
